How Much Time Do You Really Need for Wedding Photography & Videography?

One of the questions we're often asked is how much time you actually need your photographer and videographer for.

For us, the answer is simple: we think full-day coverage gives you the best chance of capturing a little bit of everything that makes your wedding day yours.

All of our photography and videography packages include coverage from three hours before your ceremony until up to one hour after your first dance.

This gives us time to capture all those little parts of the day that you might not think about when planning your timeline - from getting ready and the anticipation before the ceremony, through to the celebrations in the evening.

How much time do group photos take?

We recommend keeping your group photographs fairly simple. Around 8–10 group photos usually takes about 20 minutes.

You don't need to spend hours standing in a line having photographs taken. We want you to get back to enjoying your wedding and spending time with your guests.

What about photographs of the two of you?

We also don't want you disappearing from your wedding for ages just to get some photographs together.

Instead, we usually take advantage of the natural breaks in your day. We'll take you away for around 15 minutes before your wedding breakfast, while your guests are being seated, and then another 15 minutes later in the day.

This gives us time to capture some beautiful photographs and film of the two of you without you feeling like you've missed half the party.

So, how much time do you really need?

Our advice is to think about your wedding as a whole rather than just the photographs or film.

Having us there for the full day means we can capture the build-up, the big moments, the little moments and everything in between - without having to rush from one part of the day to another.

And ultimately, that's what we want: for your photographs and film to tell the story of your whole wedding day, not just the parts you thought would make good pictures.
