Why We Love Sunset Wedding Portraits

There’s something a little bit special about sunset on a wedding day. The light becomes softer, warmer and more romantic, and it can completely change the feel of your photographs and film.

As the sun starts to go down, the light is much softer and warmer than earlier in the day. It gives us the chance to create those dreamy, backlit photographs that are difficult to recreate at any other time.

We love using the light to create a mixture of natural, relaxed photographs as well as a few more creative shots - and it looks just as beautiful in your wedding film.

A little time just for you

One of the things we love most about sunset portraits is that it gives you a chance to step away from the party for 10-15 minutes.

Your wedding day can be a bit of a whirlwind, and you might not realise how little time you've actually had together. Sneaking away for a few minutes gives you the chance to catch your breath, have a chat and take everything in.

And don't worry - you're not going to miss the party. We'll make sure you're back before anything important is happening!

You don't need to know what to do

If the thought of having your photograph taken makes you nervous, don't worry. We're not expecting you to suddenly become professional models.

We'll guide you when we need to, but most of the time we're simply encouraging you to spend a few minutes together and enjoy being newly married.

The best photographs usually happen when you're relaxed, laughing and forgetting we're there.

Is it worth it?

Absolutely.
