Choosing your wedding photographer (and videographer) can feel like a big decision. After all, you’re trusting someone to capture some of the most important moments of your day. But where do you start?

Start with their style

For us, this is the most important place to begin.

Look through a photographer or videographer’s work and, most importantly, make sure you actually love it. It might sound obvious, but there’s no point choosing someone because they’re recommended by a friend or because they’re popular on Instagram if their style isn’t what you want for your own wedding.

Your photographs and film will be what you look back on for years to come, so you need to love the way they capture a wedding.

Then, have a conversation

Once you’ve found someone whose work you love, have a chat with them.

Your photographer and videographer will be around you for a large part of your wedding day, so it’s important that you feel comfortable with them. We think the best thing you can do is simply have a conversation and see how you get on.

And it works both ways.

We want to make sure we’re the right fit for you, but equally, we want you to feel that we’re the right fit for you too. Every couple is different, and finding someone whose personality and approach work well with yours can make such a difference to how relaxed you feel on the day.

Ultimately, choose people whose work you love and whose company you enjoy. The rest should follow naturally.
