Alice and Stephen’s wedding at Dovecote Events was a beautiful day filled with emotion, family, laughter and plenty of personality. From an incredibly meaningful walk down the aisle to a competitive game of beer pong later in the evening, their wedding was full of moments that felt completely personal to them.
Alice spent the morning getting ready at a nearby rented house with her bridesmaids and mum. The relaxed atmosphere of the morning gave everyone plenty of time to enjoy those special moments together before the ceremony. Alice’s mum helped her into her wedding dress, followed by a lovely reveal with her dad and bridesmaids. It was a beautiful way to begin the day and capture some of the excitement before everyone headed to Dovecote Events.
Alice travelled to the venue in a beautiful wedding car, where she was greeted by her flower girls and page boys. The excitement quickly turned to emotion as Alice prepared to walk down the aisle with her dad.
This was an especially meaningful part of the day because Alice’s dad had suffered an accident, and his one wish was to be able to walk his daughter down the aisle on her wedding day. Seeing him do exactly that made the ceremony incredibly special. It was one of those genuine wedding moments that didn’t need directing or staging - it simply unfolded naturally in front of us.
The ceremony itself was full of emotion, with happy tears, huge smiles and plenty of excitement from Alice, Stephen and their guests. After they officially became husband and wife, we captured their confetti moment before taking some time for a relaxed couples photo shoot around the venue.
While the drinks reception was taking place, we also photographed some family portraits, giving Alice and Stephen the opportunity to spend time with their guests while still making sure they had a collection of beautiful photographs with the people who mattered most.
Before the wedding breakfast, guests gathered outside and formed a confetti line as Alice and Stephen made their entrance into the reception. It was a brilliant way to bring everyone together and create another fun, energetic moment before the meal.
After the wedding breakfast came the speeches, with members of the wedding party sharing stories and raising plenty of laughs. Once the formalities were over, the focus shifted firmly towards the evening celebrations.
And what better way to embrace the party than with a little friendly competition? Alice and Stephen took part in a game of beer pong, with Alice going head-to-head against her new husband. Naturally, she won - giving us one final brilliant moment of fun and personality to capture before the evening celebrations continued.
From a deeply emotional ceremony to family celebrations, confetti and a very competitive game of beer pong, Alice and Stephen’s Dovecote Events wedding was relaxed, joyful and completely their own.
